Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, December 20, 2014, in the chapel at Williamsburg Funeral Home.

Mrs. Faye McKenzie Brown McKissick, 87, widow of Harry W. McKissick, Jr., passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014, at her home in Columbia.
Mrs. McKissick was born February 21, 1927, in Williamsburg County, a daughter of the late Delos D. and Lillie Morris McKenzie. She was a graduate of Kingstree High School and attended Newberry College. Mrs. McKissick worked as a flight attendant and later owned The Garden Shop in Kingstree and Nell’s Florist & Gifts in Lake City. She helped organize the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW in Kingstree. She was a member of Williamsburg Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are: a grandson, Christopher McKissick, of Ludwigsburg, Germany, nieces and nephews, Cheryl McClam and Richard McKenzie, both of Kingstree, Diana Dickson and Mike McKenzie, both of Columbia, Mandy Griffin of Beaufort, Patricia Ryles and Elaine Woosley, both of Birmingham, AL, Randy McKenzie of Alabaster, AL and Sherrie Boyd of Fort Mill. In addition to her husband Harry McKissick and her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Theodore Brown, 3 sons, Thomas, Ted, and Keith Brown, 4 brothers, and 1 sister.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, December 20, 2014, in the chapel at Williamsburg Funeral Home, with a visitation following the service.     Faye McKissick was one of the most beautiful women I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She was beautiful inside and out. I will miss her, but I am glad that she is with her Jesus.
