Funeral services will be 3 PM Thursday, December 8, 2016, at Williamsburg Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Kingstree Second Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation

George’s family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:45 before the service at Williamsburg Funeral Home.

George Gothe Mixon, Jr., 68, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in Lake City Community Hospital.

George was born May 1, 1948, in Hampton County, SC, a son of the late George G. Mixon, Sr. and Helen Olivia Morris Mixon. He was a graduate of Kingstree High School and was an auto mechanic before retiring.

Survivors are: a daughter, Tammy Cantey, of Hemingway; son, Tony Mixon, of Hemingway; stepson, Randy Dennis, of Indiana; 2 sisters, Mary (Rudolph) McCutcheon, of Cades and Sylvia Hyatt, of Kingstree; 2 brothers, Gerald (Amy) Mixon, of Johnsonville and Danny (Carolyn) Mixon, of Kingstree;   Grandchildren;   Great Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by a son, George G. Mixon, III.
