Funeral Services

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at First Free Will Baptist Church of Kingstree with a burial in Mouzon Cemetery.

Visitation

The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Williamsburg Funeral Home.

Memorials

Memorials may be made to the family in care of Williamsburg Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

John Pressley “Johnny” Mouzon, Jr., 66, widower of Mary Alice Mouzon, passed away August 13, 2016, at his residence.

Mr. Mouzon was born September 30, 1949, in Columbia, a son of Alice B. Panter and the late John Pressley Mouzon, Sr. He was a graduate of Richland County schools and was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. Johnny was a carpenter at Feagin Brothers and was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Kingstree.

Surviving in addition to his mother Alice B. Panter, of Columbia, are: a daughter, Melissa Mouzon (Edward McFadden); 3 step children he loved as his own, Janet Marie Mouzon, Eddie Hayes and John Ray, all of Kingstree; 6 grandchildren, Alyssa M. (Joseph) Halpin, of Sumter; Allen Smith Jr.; Edward McFadden, Jr. , both of Kingstree; Kristy Elaine Hayes, of Timmonsville; Rebecca (Billy) Yates, of Olanta; and Danielle Black , of Kingstree; 5 great grandchildren, Serenity Halpin, of Sumter, Abbigail Yates and William Yates of Olanta; and Tyler Augusta Hayes, of Timmonsville; a nephew he loved as his grandson, Austin Serrato, of Kingstree; 3 sisters, Bonnie (Gary) Roberts, of Columbia; Sally Dowding, of Columbia; and  Alice Rita (David) Fudge, of West Columbia; many nieces and nephews he loved dearly and special friends, Russell Feagin, Bubba Feagin, Ron Feagin, Al Atkinson, Andre Feagin and Scott Feagin.

In addition to his wife and father, Johnny was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Mouzon, two sisters, Cheryl Wood and Loretta Long and a step father Jack Panter.

    Johnny, my brother, was such a wonderful person. He was always concerned about others & really loved all his family & friends. We will surely miss his smile, his bear hugs & his love. I know he is now in a better place in heaven & no more pain. Please keep my family in your prayers.

    My Uncle Johnny was always fun and loving and very caring. Everytime I see him it always put a smile on my face. He was a great Uncle. I miss him so much, and love him dearly. He was a great person to be around. I know he is in a better place and is no longer in any pain. He is now with his brother and 2 of his sisters. I miss them all!
