John Wesley Stone, 74, husband of Kay Smith Larson, died Thursday, December 28, 2017, in Trident Hospital.

Mr. Stone was born February 7, 1943, in Waycross, Georgia; a son of the late Henry M. Stone and Martha Hutchinson Stone. He was a high school graduate and worked with a roofing company. Mr. Stone was an avid fisherman. He was a member of a Pentecostal Holiness Church in Georgia.

Surviving are: his wife, Kay, of Kingstree; his daughters , Dore Miller, of Palatka, FL; and Dana Miller, of Pensacola, FL; his sons, Edward Stone and Johnny Stone, both of Douglas, GA; and Sean Stone, of Walterboro; his step-children, Jeanna Smith, of Goose Creek; Tracy Huff, of Kingstree; and Ashley Larson, of Kingstree; his sisters, Nell Taylor, of Douglas, GA; Carolyn Stone, of Douglas, GA; and Wanda Mullinex, of Greenville, SC; 21 Grandchildren; 26 Great-Grandchildren; and 9 Great-Great Grandchildren. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brothers, Hoke Stone, Bobby Stone, Melvin Stone, Henry Stone and Kenny Stone; his sisters, Lucille Barnette, Becky White, Faye Robinson, and Bobby Jean Stone.
