    DEAR FAMILY,

“While I am sadden to learn that you are mourning the loss of your beloved Laura, it saddens King Jesus and his Heavenly Father Jehovah God even more. (Psalm 83:18) Because death is an enemy that brings pain and emptiness to each family it touch, our Heavenly Father Jehovah is “close” to those that grieve and feel brokenhearted as Psalm 34:18 reminds us.

As time passes, may comfort from many shared family memories, bring greater consolation to all. The fact that you have memories, certainly shows that Almighty God Jehovah has memories of Laura, whose life he longs to restore healthy to a global Paradise Earth free from pain, suffering, danger, sickness and death through his son King Jesus. (Revelation 21:3-4, John 5:28-29 and Isaiah 65:17-25) You are warmly invited to visit this free website of comfort, JW.ORG to enjoy these Bible promises and view the video, “IS THER HOPE FOR THE DEAD?”

Sorry to hear of her passing. Laura was a great teacher and has a place in the hearts of both my sons, Will and Frank. A special story I will remember is when she and Michelle Duke bidded against each other at the Railroad Auction to get a monogrammed World War II airplane for Will. Neither knew that they were bidding against each other for the same person! I think Laura won out, and Will did get the monogram. Laura was a true inspiration to the many students who crossed her path. Our prayers are with you all now and in the days ahead.

Scott, Kristen and Maggie, and the rest of the family, my heart goes out to you all at this time. I knew Laura was sick but was stunned to hear of her death. I have always enjoyed talking to her and to you Scott. You and your family have always been the sweetest people I have ever met. There are memories that will never be forgotten because of your mother. You all got your gentleness and kindness from her. I wish I could be there to show my great respect to all of you. I pray God will bless and strengthen you all.

The first time I saw Laura was when Ms. Madge, Laura, and Scott walked into the Kingstree Church of God. I thought she was one of the prettiest girls I ever saw. We remained friends for years. I remember her birthday party’s, talking to her on the phone and at church, and the many times we met at the Piggly Wiggly to hang out while Ms. Madge shopped for groceries. Laura was a great person, great teacher, great mother, and a great friend. Remember this scripture from 2 Cor 5:8 That says “To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.” We know that Laura is present with the Lord.

I watched Laura’s progress during her illenss . She attended all church services even when she was desperatly ill and needed assistance to walk into the church. Her sweet family’s devotion to her touched me deeply, they were and still are there for her and the two girls. Laura was a WA Stallions Newspaper sponsor when my daughter, Marjorie, was on the paper as a student ” staff” member. She was dearly loved by everyone she came in contact with. She has left a wonderful lagacy for her girls as well as WA students, members of First Baptist Church and her family and many friends. We will surely miss Laura.
