Lois Elaine McClary Hogan, 89, widow of Thomas McMaster Hogan, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Grand Strand Health Care Facility in Myrtle Beach.

Mrs. Hogan was born June 24, 1927, in Salters, SC, a daughter of the late Samuel V. McClary and Addie Hanna McClary. She was a graduate of Kingstree High School and before retirement, she worked for Albany International. Mrs. Lois was a member of Greeleyville Methodist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Hogan are: her daughters, Elaine H. Putnam, of Myrtle Beach; Rebecca “Becky” H. (Jim) Tyler, of Gaffney; Thomasena H. (Hugh) Strickland, of Conway; and Joyce H. (Robert) Small, of Lexington; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband Thomas, Mrs. Hogan was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother and a grandson.

Graveside services will be 1 PM Wednesday, January 4, 2017, in Mount Hope Cemetery, 1438 Gourdin Road (Hwy 375) , Greeleyville, SC. Mrs. Hogan’s family will receive friends following the service at Greeleyville Methodist Church.     Becky, not sure you remember me but we graduated together. I am so sorry to hear of your moms passing. I lost my mother 2 yrs ago in Nov. so I know how you feel. She was 87. I didn’t know your mom personally but I know she must have been awesome because she raised some sweet girls. You and your family will be in my prayers.
