Funeral Services

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday August 29, 2014, at Central Presbyterian Church, 5001 Thurgood Marshall Highway in Kingstree, SC, with Rev. Craig Pipkin and Rev. John Dodd officiating.

 

Burial

Burial will follow the funeral service in Tisdale Cemetery.

Bobby was born in Kingstree on August 2, 1927, a son of the late Gary and Edna McCrea Tisdale. He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, where he had served as a deacon and an elder. Bobby served in the Navy and was deployed on the USS Wisconsin during his time in the service. He was a farmer and loved his farm and farming. One of his greatest joys was spending time at his cabin on Black River with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Marshall “Dot” Tisdale; daughter, Bonnie (Chuck) Schmidt, of Williston, SC; son, Michael (Janet) Tisdale, of Andrews; daughter, Linda (Duffy) McDonald, of Durham, NC; son, Wayne (Penny) Tisdale, of Anderson, SC; and daughter, Paulette Tisdale, of Anderson; grandchildren, Robbie Williams, Jennifer Williams, Heather Tisdale, Michele Johnson, Elliot McDonald, Ben McDonald, Kyle Tisdale, Ethan Tisdale, Drew Rawl, & Colleen Rawl; and 3 great grandchildren, Courtney Williams, Emmett Johnson & Marshall Johnson.

Bobby was preceded in death by his brother Ray Tisdale and his sisters, Elizabeth Sheegog, Emma Gene Holiway and Rose Nell Bifano.
