A memorial service will be 12 noon Friday , May 1 2015, at Kingstree First Baptist Church.

 

Visitation

 

The family will greet friends from 10 to 11:30 AM Friday in the Life Center at Kingstree First Baptist Church.

On April 29, 2015 Glenda B. Shuler fell asleep in the Lord, after a long illness.  She was born in Kingstree, South Carolina on August 3, 1948, attended local schools, was a graduate of Queen’s University in Charlotte, and a member of the Kingstree Presbyterian Church.  Everyone who knew her could attest to her character, beauty, courage, and grace.

 

Glenda was preceded in death by her father, Frank A. Brown, Jr. and her mother, Jane Epps Brown de Witt.  She is survived by her husband of forty-five years, M. Duane Shuler, her son Jonathan (Amanda) Shuler, her daughter Elizabeth (Keith) Griffin, her grandson Charles Shuler Griffin, her father, John R. de Witt and her two brothers, Frank (Sally) Brown and Greg (Kelli) de Witt.

 

After a private interment in the Williamsburg Cemetery, the family will greet friends in the Family Life Center of the First Baptist Church of Kingstree from 10:00-11:30 on Friday morning, with a memorial service to follow at 12:00 noon.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Kingstree Presbyterian Church, PO Box 904, Kingstree, SC 29556, First Baptist Church of Kingstree, 400 N.     Although unsuccessful in her quest, Glenda fought this disease with great bravey and fortitude. Now she rest in peace. She was a beautiful lady both inside and out! I never remember seeing her without a smile. Such a kind and caring lady. Heaven surely gained a wonderful angel. May the peace and comfort from our Lord Jesus be with the family during this time and the days ahead.
