George Harmon Culler, 89, widower of Mary Neal Inabinet Culler, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015, in Southland Healthcare Center in Florence.

Mr. Culler was born April 22, 1926, in Orangeburg, SC, a son of the late Julian Wesley Culler and Elizabeth “Leize” Simmons Culler. He was a World War II veteran of the US Navy and was retired as co-owner and President of Kingstree Electric & Supply. “Mr. George” was a Mason and a Shriner and was an active member of Kingstree United Methodist Church where he enjoyed all activities, especially those with the seniors.

Surviving are: his daughter, Ann Culler Mims, of Kingstree; 2 grandsons, Kevin Wayne (Maggie) Mims, of John’s Island, SC and Bryan Culler Mims, of Georgetown, SC; 3 great grandchildren, Hudson, Abbott, and Alden Mims; sister, Rebekah “Tootsie” Gilliam, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; brother, Julian Wesley “Jack” (Frances) Culler, Jr., of Irmo, SC; and special friend, Marian Coker, of Kingstree. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Culler was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Wayne Mims.

    Please know that daddy and I are thinking about you! I always enjoyed being around your daddy!! I never saw him without his wonderful smile!! Daddy really appreciated Mr. George driving him to all the Friday night card parties at Miss Marian’s!! They really shared some fun times!! Take care and know that you’re in our prayers!!

    I am sorry to hear of your loss. May you find comfort in the resurrection promise at John 5;28,29 that reads; “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming when all that are in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” The Bible gives us hope that one day our dead loved ones will be brought back to life.
