Funeral Services
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Monday, March 14, 2016, in Kingstree Church of God, with burial in Kingstree First Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
Visitation
The family will receive friends 9 to 11 AM Monday at the church.
McIver “Red” Stone, 85, husband of Bobbie Jean Martin Stone, died Saturday, March 12, 2016, in Kingstree.
Red was born July 8, 1930, in Florence County, a son of the late Finnrick Stone and Mamie Miles Stone. He was retired, but was previously self-employed as a housemover, a well digger, and a metal fabricator. Mr. Stone was a veteran of the US Army and was a member of the VFW.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Bobbie Jean Stone, of Kingstree, are: his children, Randy (Cathy) Stone, and Sandi (Leland) Powell, all of Kingstree; grandchildren, Justin (Gina) Powell, LeAnne Duckett, Tonya (Russell) Yarborough, Amanda (Matt) Taylor, Matthew (Cori) Stone, Jason (Mary) Stone, Cassandra Smith, Patrick (Shelby) Richardson, Angel (Jonathan) Flagler, Nicki (Brittany) Richardson, Davis (Jennifer) Brown, Joshua (Casey) Stone, John White, Amanda White, and Louie Brown; great grandchildren, Katelyn Powell, Connor Duckett, Nathan Taylor, Cassidy Flagler, Johnny Mack McKenzie, Joy, Hanna, and Phoebe Yarborough, Andrew, Kaylyn, and Zach Talbert, Haden Stone, Harrison Stone, Ethan Smith, Colton Richardson, Shaylynn Richardson, and Holden Richardson; 3 sisters, Ellen Gaskins, Joanne Coward, and Vera Jackson; and a brother, Jim Stone. In addition to his parents, Mr. Stone was preceded in death by a brother Allen Stone; a sister, Kathleen Nettles; and a daughter, Lisa Stone.
