Mr. George Franklin “Frank” Oliver, 74, husband of Carol LaFever Oliver, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016, at his home in Greeleyville.

Mr. Oliver was born October 10, 1941, in Greeleyville, a son of the late Marion Lynwood Oliver and Bernice Alsbrooks Oliver. He was a graduate of Greeleyville High School and was the assistant manager of Longlands Plantation. Mr. Oliver was a member of Greeleyville United Methodist Church.

Surviving Mr. Oliver, in addition to his wife Carol, of Greeleyville, are: his son, Johnny (Shana) Cross, of Sumter, of Sumter; 4 grandchildren, Chase Cross, Clayton Merritt, Emily Cross, and Heather Merritt; ; 2  brothers, Jack (Mary Ellen) Oliver, of Greeleyville and Charles (Barbara) Oliver, of Moncks Corner; 3 sisters, Eunice (Jimmy) Reardon, of Moncks Corner, Gladys (Bob) Sebek, of Charlotte, and Liz (Roy) Cantey, of Salters. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Marion Hanna and Ann McElveen.

A graveside service will be held at 3 PM Tuesday, September 13, 2016, in New Market Cemetery. Mr. Oliver’s family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday at Williamsburg Funeral Home.
