George Gothe Mixon, Jr., 68, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in Lake City Community Hospital.
George was born May 1, 1948, in Hampton County, SC, a son of the late George G. Mixon, Sr. and Helen Olivia Morris Mixon. He was a graduate of Kingstree High School and was an auto mechanic before retiring.
Survivors are: a daughter, Tammy Cantey, of Hemingway; son, Tony Mixon, of Hemingway; stepson, Randy Dennis, of Indiana; 2 sisters, Mary (Rudolph) McCutcheon, of Cades and Sylvia Hyatt, of Kingstree; 2 brothers, Gerald (Amy) Mixon, of Johnsonville and Danny (Carolyn) Mixon, of Kingstree; Grandchildren; Great Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by a son, George G. Mixon, III.
