Fred Mitchell Parker, 70, husband of Janice Avant Parker, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016.
Fred was born December 31, 1945, in Hemingway, SC, a son of the late Albert Jackson Parker and Dorothy Haselden Parker. He attended Hemingway High School, was a veteran of the US Navy and was a retired electrician from Fluor- Daniels.
Survivors in addition to his wife Janice, of Hemingway, are: three brothers, Herman J. (Judy) Parker, of Hemingway; Charlie M. (Debra) Parker, of Pamplico; and Eddie A. (Nancy) Parker, of Coward; and a sister, Mary Parker, of Greensboro, NC. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by a son, Greg Parker and a brother Gary Parker.
Funeral services will be private. Memorials may be made to Poplar Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 2380 South State Highway 41-51, Hemingway, SC 29554.
