Henry Lavern “Vern” Osborne, 61, died Saturday, July 18, 2020, in Charleston after an auto vs bicycle accident.
Mr. Osborne was born February 21, 1959, in Manning, SC, a son of the late William Otto Osborne and Virginia “Ginny” Osborne Osborne. He was a graduate of Goose Creek High School and was a heavy equipment operator. In his spare time, Vern enjoyed refinishing old furniture and giving it a new life.
Surviving Mr. Osborne are: 3 children, Brittnay O. (Dante) Sloan of Goose Creek, Savannah O. Connor of Mt. Pleasant, and Timothy (Jessica) Osborne of Moncks Corner; 6 grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Vivian O. Humbert, Judy Osborne and Evelyn O. Justice, all of St. Stephen. In addition to his parents, Vern was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Osborne.

My prayers of comfort are with all you during this transition in your life. Levern was a good brother, son, father, grandfather, and most of all a friend. Keep his memories hidden deep within your hearts!
Vern was my dear childhood friend from Greeleyville, SC. We ran barefoot together many a summer afternoon, and sneaked up the rickety stairs in the old garage in his backyard. The world is a bit dimmer without this joyful person in it.
I am sending prayers for the family. I remember playing with Vern when we were children.
