A private graveside service will be held. Due to Covid precautions, there will be no visitation with the family at this time.

Dorothy McCants Floyd, 80, widow of Earl Floyd, died January 4, 2021, at Carlyle Senior Care of Kingstree.
Dorothy was born on May 8, 1940, daughter of the late Walter Lesley and Kathleen Easler McCants. She attended Manning Schools and previously worked at Williamsburg Regional Hospital as a Surgical Tech for over 35 years. She was a member of Mt Vernon Methodist Church for many years. She enjoyed living at the lake and spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving Mrs. Dorothy are: her sons, Wesley Lynn (Beth) Cox of Kingstree, SC and Kevin Trent (Rebecca) Cox of Kingstree, SC; 5 grandchildren, Abbey (Blake) Perritt of Beaufort, SC, Meg Johnson, Lee Johnson, Savannah Grace Cox, and Sarah Wesley Cox of Kingstree; and 1 great grandson, Paxton Johnson of Kingstree; sisters Elease (Johnny) Radcliff of Manning, SC and Patricia (Jimmy) Conyers of Manning, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dorothy was preceded in death by an infant daughter, her husbands, Warren Wesley Cox, and Andrew Earl Floyd; 3 brothers, Carol McCants, Harold McCants, and Tommy McCants and 3 sisters, Pauline Lowder, Grace Hardy, and Betty Smith.
Special thanks to Amedisys Hospice Care and Carlyle Senior Care of Kingstree for the compassionate care shown to Mrs. Dorothy and her family during the final days.

Ms. Dot was the first person we met in 2009 when we first visited the lake from NY. She was a wonderful person and great friend. Our sincere thoughts and prayers to her family. She will be missed by all.

I am so so sorry for the passing of your mother ..When I met her it was like magic ! We talked and visited each other. I loved DOT like my Sister ….She and I were togather when we could after Robbie passed and even after Earl had passed we went as much as we could go over their and take her DOT out to lunch where ever she wanted to go. WE enjoyed going over and being with her . i did not even know she had the covid _19.. I will keep here next to Robbie in my Heart for all times May God bless the faMILY SHE LEFT HERE.. I SURE MISS HER AND CAT .
