Graveside funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday, January 15, 2022, in Kingstree Memorial Gardens. Danette’s family will greet friends following the service in the cemetery.

Danette Livingston Frye, widow of McNeil Marion Frye, died Monday, January 10, 2022, at Carlyle Senior Care in Kingstree.
Mrs. Frye was born September 17, 1947, in Columbia, SC, a daughter of the late Daniel H. and Blanche Robinson Livingston. She was a graduate of North High School and Columbia Commercial College. Danette retired from Exchange Bank of Kingstree after thirty years. She was an active member of Kingstree United Methodist Church where she taught the Nursery Sunday School Class for many years and was a member of the Epworth Circle. Danette was also active in the American Legion Auxiliary while her health allowed.
Surviving Mrs. Frye are: her daughter, April Frye (Donnie) McDonald of Cades; granddaughter, Nicole McDonald of Cades; 2 step granddaughters, Olivia (Alex) Richburg of Cades and Dixie McDonald of Kingstree; 2 great grandchildren, Joanna Richburg and Kenna Miles; and a special niece, Vicki Grooms of Fort Mill, SC. In addition to her parents and her husband, Danette was preceded in death by her son Danny Frye, and 2 sisters, Delores Grooms and Alice Byrd.
Graveside funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday, January 15, 2022, in Kingstree Memorial Gardens. Danette’s family will greet friends following the service in the cemetery.

I am so sorry to hear about your Mama’s passing.I know it has been hard the last few years.We have missed her at American Legíon Auxiliary. I planned to come to the service today but my sister just tested positive for Covid yesterday and we stayed at her house last weekend when we were in Macon for a wedding.
I didn’t want to expose anyone so I watched on Facebook. I hope the flowers the Auxiliary sent are pretty and will remind you and the family how much she meant to all of us.
