Our prayers are with the family at this time. I know my aunt Polly will welcome her with open arms.
My thoughts and prayers are with Barbara and family.
What a woman! I feel so grateful for having had her in my life. Our whole family has scads of Aunt Woody stories. The older I got (and the older she got), the more I appreciated her. She was ready to go, I know, and I’m glad for her and for y’all. Wherever she lands, she’ll likely be setting folks straight into eternity.
Mrs. Woody, a true lover of God’s magnificent work of art in nature, will surely be missed. Every time I see the sun or feel a breeze, I will think of her. She surely loved the porch and tried to enjoy it as often as possible. Her love of gardening will never be matched and I know she is helping to make haven’s garden even more beautiful. My sincerest condolences to the family and friends in their loss.
Praying for all.
A little over 4 yrs ago Ms Woody came into my life. It was a blessing then and is still a blessing today. She’s one of the most loving individual I’ve ever met. She was a “stickler” for some things, very opinionated, and very direct; and these are just a few of the things I’ve love so much about her. She is truly “one of a kind”. For all the 102 years on this earth, she has touched the lives of so many in such positive ways. And, for sure, she dearly loves her hometown of Kingstree. She’s resting peacefully with her Lord now as she gladly went with him. What a blessing to all of us who are so fortunate enough to have known her. Love You, Ms Woody.
I loved Mrs. Woody. She was the quintessential Southern Kingstree lady. Wish I could take her another hamburger from Burger King. May God bless her loving family.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. She was a wonderful lady .
Louie and Becky My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We went to an egg hunt there and my Momma always spoke of her beautiful yard!!
Miss Woody was such a sweet person with whom our family enjoyed spending time! She and Daddy had such fun times at the horse races, her birthday parties and his birthday parties. I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that each of you are in my thoughts and prayers
My thoughts and prayers for the family in the loss of one of the nicest and most caring ladies I have had the priviledg of knowing. She was a great neighbor and friend of my entire family and for several years to me living down the street where she regularly visited me and checked on my welfare. She was a pleasure to visit with and walk with her in her back yard. Those of us who knew her received a blessing.
Our thoughts and prayers are there with you dear Barbara and family. We are so very glad that you introduced us to “Woody,” and we will always remember her so fondly.
Aunt Woody and my grandmother, Carolyn, are the strongest women I’ve known. My grandmother had a more quiet strength. Woody wore hers on her sleeve. She was outspoken and bossy in the cutest sense of the word (runs in the women of my family). She was also incredibly sweet and courageous and so, so funny. This world will miss her physical presence but her memory will continue to delight all who knew and loved her. I love you Aunt Woody.
Barbara, I am so sorry to hear about your Mother’s passing. Even though I have not met your Mother, I feel like I have always known her through you. I am sure she was an amazing woman and will be so missed. Please know my prayers and thoughts will be for you and all your family. May God wrap you in his arms and give you peace. Beth
My prayers are with the family. Woody was such a joy. I am blessed to have known her and her family
Prayers for the family to feel God’s presence, strength and peace.🙏🙏🙏🙏
Sending love and prayers to Woody’s family. May she Rest In Peace.
Woody, Aunt Woody, or Woodrow, as my dad would sometimes call her…was a force to be reckoned with, for sure! Loved her dearly and will miss her.
