Funeral Services
Graveside funeral services will be held 3 PM Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Tisdale Cemetery in Kingstree, SC.
Visitation
Steve’s family will greet friends at 1 to 2:30 PM at Williamsburg Funeral Home on Tuesday and then process to Tisdale Cemetery for the service.

Ezra Steve Brown, 74, of the Cedar Swamp Community, died peacefully at home on December 31, 2022, surrounded by those he loved.
Steve was born May 31, 1948, in Williamsburg County, the eldest son of the late Ezra Tolly Brown and Dorothy Howell Brown. He enjoyed all things outdoors including hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and camping with his children, grandchildren, and friends. He was a member of the Cedar Swamp Lancing Association, a lifelong member and former deacon of Central Presbyterian Church. A loving husband and father, Steve was always up for an adventure and loved to travel. His contagious smile, boisterous laugh, and sense of humor will be missed by those who loved him most.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ruth Epps “Ruthie” Brown; son, Steven (Sheila) Brown of Kingstree; son, Michael (Patti) Brown of Lake City; son, Will (Nichole) Godwin of Kingstree; brother, Lynn (Harriett) Brown of Florence; grandchildren, Wes, Kayla, Emily, Blake, Nicholas, Sydney, Jeromie, Haley, Billy, and Anna Grace; and 9 precious great grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors from 1 – 2:30 pm on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Williamsburg Funeral Home in Kingstree, with a graveside service to follow at 3 pm at Tisdale Cemetery (Cemetery Road, Kingstree). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Presbyterian Church, PO Box 421, Kingstree, SC 29556. I heard about Steve last night and offer my sympathies to your family. He was a memorable man-with a twinkle in his eye. When my husband Robert passed, Steve came to Durham from Kingstree and that gesture made the day more bearable. Thinking of you.
