Mrs.Richardson taught at Kingstree Elementary with my mother, the late Mrs. Minnie Dukes.Mrs. Richardson didn’t teach me , but she loved all students near and far no matter grade, creed, nor learning disability. She will be missed My condolences to the family and the love of her life Mr.Jimmy.
I am sorry to learn of the passing of Mrs. Richardson. I only met her once, but she will always be a part of my life story as well as the stories of several members of “Team Shaw” the descendants of recently freed slaves who left the plantation of Mrs. Richardson’s great-great-grandfather in 1867 shortly after he died. This is part of our history that many would like to forget. However, we will always be grateful to this former history teacher for the hospitality she showed us when we visited her home. I look forward to meeting her again.
