Jack Edward “Pete” Phipps, 72, husband of Jannette Baxley Phipps, died at his home in Kingstree, SC, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.

Pete was born February 24, 1952, in Florence, SC, a son of the late Eloise Morris Tisdale. He graduated from Williamsburg County schools and worked as an electrician at Colonial Rubber for 25 years. Pete enjoyed coaching Little League baseball.

In addition to his wife Jannette, Pete is survived by: two sons, James Phipps and Justin (Melanie) Phipps; grandchildren, Cameron McCutchen, Matthew Phipps, Jesse Phipps, Caitlin Phipps and Madison Phipps; a sister, Bertha Mae Welch; and his beloved fur baby, “Baby Girl”. In addition to his mother, Pete was preceded in death by two sisters, Alene Garner and Delmar Dukes and a brother Fred Tisdale.

A memorial service will be held at 3 PM, Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Williamsburg Funeral Home in Kingstree.
