Lloyd Herbert Cooper, 79, husband of Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Foxworth Cooper, died Monday, June 16, 2025, at his home in Salters, SC.
Lloyd was born December 18, 1945, in Kingstree, SC, a son of the late Marvin R. Cooper and Eula Mae McGee Cooper. He was a member of Trio Church and a US Army veteran. Lloyd enjoyed his antique vehicles, spending time on his farm in the Suttons Community, and especially spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his wife Libby, Lloyd is survived by: a stepson, Bill McClary of Kingstree; a son, Kevin Cooper of Greenville; a granddaughter, Leah Cooper of Greenville; three sisters, Sonya (Jim) Rusgrove of Murrells Inlet, Judy (John) Moore of Andrews, and Debbie (Kenny) McConnell of Georgetown; and a brother, Kenny (Patty) Cooper of Andrews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Gathright and a brother, Jon Phillip Cooper.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Thursday June 19, 2025, at Trio Church. Memorials may be made to Trio Church, c/o Mrs. Pearl Rowell, 39 Front Street, Salters, SC 29590.
