Funeral Services
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 15, 2025, at Williamsburg Baptist Church, 8378 Hemingway Highway, Kingstree, SC 29556, with burial to follow in Tisdale Cemetery, 615 Cemetery Road, Kingstree, SC 29556.
Visitation
The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall beginning at 10:00 AM just prior to the service.

Charles Benjamin Strickland, 85, husband of Reba “Jane” Tisdale Strickland, died Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at his home in Kingstree.
Charles was born April 13, 1940, in Florence County, a son of the late Joseph Monroe “Mont” Strickland and Ella Miles Strickland. After his parents died, Charles and his brother J.M. were raised by their sister Junie and her husband Napoleon Floyd and raised along with their four children. He was a 1959 graduate of East Clarendon High School and retired from Farmers Telephone Co-op after 35 years of service. He was a member of Sportsman Hunting Club. He was a member of Williamsburg Baptist Church.
Charles is survived by: his wife of 62 years Jane; two sons, Lonnie Benjamin “Benji” (Janice) Strickland and Timmy Lamont (Angie) Strickland; five grandchildren, Mitchell Strickland, Casey (Megan) Strickland, Lindsey (Elliott) Fulton, Makayla Diane Strickland, and Justin McCutchen; four great grandchildren, Jayce and Baylor Fulton and Natalie Jean and Kerrie Jane Strickland; daughter-in-law, Tammy Ganes Strickland; a sister-in-law, Brenda Strickland; a niece who was raised as a sister, Miriam Strickland, two nephews who were raised as brothers, Kenny (Margaret) Floyd and Chris (Wendy) Floyd. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his son, Charles Ernie Strickland, his sister Junie Strickland Floyd and her husband Napoleon Floyd, his brother J.M. Strickland, a niece who was raised as a sister, Marie Mazingo, and a nephew who was raised as a brother, Danny Floyd.
