Mrs. Flossie Elizabeth “Libby” Price Gause, 75, widow of Claude Gause, passed away Saturday September 30, 2017, in McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC.

Mrs. Gause was born February 16, 1942, in Kingstree, a daughter of the late Herman Price and Eloise Duke Price. She was a long time employee of both Baxter Travenol and Walmart, where she made many close friends. She enjoyed working on handcrafts and created many beautiful items for friends and family. Mrs. Gause was a member of Kingstree Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving Mrs. Gause are her daughter, Kathy Leonard, of Anchorage, AK; 2 sons, Brian (Cindy) Gause, of Kingstree and Bruce (Amy) Gause, of Kingstree; 8 grandchildren, Kimberly Wyatt, William Leonard, Corey Alexie, Valerie Leonard, Justin Gause, Brandy Gause, David Gause, and Stephanie Stafford; 13 great grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Kinard, of Effingham, and a half brother Joseph Price, of Greeleyville. In addition to her parents and her husband Claude, Mrs. Gause was preceded in death by a son, Marshall Lynnwood Gause and 2 brothers, Robert Price and Stewart Price.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Wednesday, October 4, 2017, in the chapel in Williamsburg Funeral Home, with burial in Kingstree Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. Mrs. Gause’s family will greet friends Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Kingstree Pentecostal Holiness Church, 37 McCall Road, Kingstree, SC 29556.
