Alma Martha Nexsen, 82, died Friday, December 28, 2018, at Elmcroft Assisted Living in Florence.
Miss Alma was born September 11, 1936, in Williamsburg County, a daughter of the late Leland Ivy Nexsen and Eleida Parrott Nexsen. She was a graduate of Kingstree High School and retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company after 37 years.
Surviving Miss Alma are: her brothers, William “Billy” (Wanda) Nexsen, of Cades; and Paul D. Nexsen, of Scranton; and a sister, Mary Sue (Mike) Hewett, of Socastee. In addition to her parents, Miss Alma was preceded in death by her siblings, Lucille Nexsen Disher, Margaret Louise Disher, James Leon Nexsen, Leland Rubin Nexsen, Samuel “Sam” Melvin Nexsen, Eleida “Doll” Nexsen Burrows, Vardell John Nexsen, Betty Lou Nexsen Culick, and Junior Leland Nexsen.

My classmate.in the 1956 class of Kingstree High, Alma was a hardworking, sincere, and kind student. She was quiet and sweet and was an excellent student.
May she rest in Peace in the hand of God for it is richly deserved for her decades of support she provided her brother, and anyone in need.
