Bernice McCarty Williamson, 91, widow of Charles B. Williamson, passed away Saturday June 6, 2015, at Elmcroft in Florence.

Mrs. Williamson was born December 28, 1923 in Texas, a daughter of the late Ralph McCarty and Angie Pibble McCarty. She was a graduate of Granbury High School in Granbury, TX and was a former employee of Belk department store. She was a member of Kingstree First Baptist Church. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Charles.

Surviving are: a daughter, Wanda (Roe) Lifrage, of Florence; a son, Roger R. (Donna) Williamson, of Chesapeake, VA; grandchildren, Sarah L. Watts, Andrew Lifrage, Elizabeth W. Shrader, and Charlie Williamson; and 5 great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be 2 PM Monday June 8, 2015, in Williamson Cemetery. The family will receive friends before the service from 12 to 1:30 PM Monday at Williamsburg Funeral Home.
