William Wade “Billy” Haselden, 74, of Summerville, SC, died Friday, April 11, 2025, at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston, SC.
Mr. Haselden was born May 16, 1950 in Florence, SC, a son of the late Charles Emerson Haselden and Rosanne Fields Haselden. He was a graduate of McClenaghan High School and a retired locomotive engineer for CSX.
Billy enjoyed many wonderful friendships both at work and in his neighborhood at King’s Grant, where he lived for over 30 years. He was always willing to help others and was well thought of. His family is grateful for all their help and support.
Billy loved the beach and was happiest on his boat. He loved cooking (especially for others!) and was known for sharing his dishes from the grill and his kitchen. Above all, Billy loved the Lord and his family. He discovered a great pleasure later in life – faithfully watching the online services of Kingstree United Methodist Church.
Surviving Mr. Haselden are a son, Wade Haselden (Amanda) of Minot, ME, 2 grandsons, Logan Haselden and Mason Haselden and 2 sisters, Martha Yarborough of Manning, SC, and Mary Wade Ward (Archie) of Kingstree, SC.

Will miss Billy, we had a lot in common. Same age, dog lovers, he even grew up near Lynn. Was like a brother in many ways, will both remember and miss him as a friend and neighbor.
He and his pup always made us smile when they drove by. We looked forward to seeing them every day and getting a friendly wave as they went by. My husband and I will truly miss him.
