Cindy Youell, a devoted wife, loving mother, faithful servant, and cherished friend, passed into the arms of her Savior after a long and courageous battle with myofascial pain syndrome and extreme fibromyalgia. Her life was a testament to resilience and a heart fully devoted to serving God and others.
Originally from South Carolina, Cindy grew up on a farm where she developed a lifelong love for gardening, animals—especially chickens—and a deep interest in veterinary medicine. While attending pharmacy school, Cindy met the love of her life, Dr. Timothy Youell, then a medical student. The two married and shared 48 beautiful years together, marked by mutual devotion, partnership, and a shared faith. Cindy practiced pharmacy early in her career before embracing what she considered her greatest calling—motherhood. She poured her heart into raising and homeschooling their daughter, a role she regarded as the most rewarding accomplishment of her life.
Cindy’s life was full of creativity, service, and deep faith. She had a passion for cooking, reading, and gardening, and delighted in naming her beloved Cocker Spaniels after literary characters. She was a natural leader, organizing a supper club, the Medical Wives Auxiliary, and the Tea Party of Central Florida. She also ran the Christmas Angel Tree program at First Baptist Orlando and started a Sunday school class for 7th and 8th graders.
Even in her later years, Cindy never stopped exploring new interests—she took up tap dancing in her 50s and ran for state committee woman. Through all her endeavors, she remained a devoted disciple of Christ, enjoying Bible study, memorizing scripture, and making time for prayer with others. It was her deepest hope that the gifts God gave her were used to honor Him and bless those around her.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and service that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her strength, kindness, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered. Those family members left to remember her are her husband, Timothy Dale Youell of Altamonte Springs, FL, her daughter, Catherine Cooper Youell of Hollywood, CA, her mother, Clara Rudd Cooper of Andrews, SC, and her brother Robert Ernest Cooper of Andrews, SC
