Funeral Services
Funeral services celebrating Ryan’s life will be 2 PM Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at Williamsburg Funeral Home in Kingstree. Ryan’s family will receive friends from 12 to 1:30 just before the service.
Colin Ryan Roark, 42, died Friday, January 25, 2019, in McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
Mr. Roark was born May 8, 1976, in Sumter, SC, a son of Lyndal Wayne Roark and Sharon Coker Dukes. He was a graduate of Williamsburg Academy and attended Midlands Tech. He was employed by Roark Communications and was a member of Williamsburg Presbyterian Church. Ryan enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his daughter.
Surviving Mr. Roark are: his daughter, Rylie Ann Roark; his wife, Jill Thomas Roark; and his stepdaughters, Taylor and Brenna Welch, all of Kingstree; his father, Wayne Roark, of Manning; his stepmother, Cheryl Oliver, of Greeleyville; his mother, Sharon Coker Dukes, of Dallas, TX; his brother, Kevin (Jennifer) Roark, of Sumter; his sisters, Maggie R. (Kevin) Mims, of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Stacey O. (Robbie) Mooneyham, of Alcolu, SC; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services celebrating Ryan’s life will be 2 PM Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at Williamsburg Funeral Home in Kingstree. Ryan’s family will receive friends from 12 to 1:30 just before the service. Memorials may be made to Williamsburg Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses and to create a fund for Rylie’s education. Sharon and Wayne. I am shocked to hear about Ryan. Please know that I share in your pain. Losing a child is the worst thing that can happen to anyone. I will try to get to the visitation on Wednesday so I can see all of the family.

He was truly a fine young man that was always polite, mannerly and was a joy to be around. Anytime I spoke with him he was so pleasant. I know he will be missed much. RIP young man.
Ryan touched the hearts of everyone that knew him. I’m very lucky to have been one of those people. I am so sorry for your loss. Riley, Maggie, Kevin, Ms. Sharon, Mr. Wayne & the rest of the family…you are ALL in my thoughts and prayers daily.
