Daniel Ralph “Danny” Brown, 74, husband of Regina Fidler Brown, died at home on Saturday, February 10, 2018, after an illness.
Mr. Brown was born December 30, 1943, in Kingstree, a son of the late Ralph and Alberta Owens Brown. He was a graduate of Kingstree High School and was a U.S. Army veteran. Danny was a longtime employee of The US Postal Service in Kingstree and served as the Code Enforcement Officer for the Town of Kingstree for several years. He retired as the Williamsburg County Building Inspector. He was a longtime volunteer with Kingstree Rural Fire Department and Kingstree Fire Department, where he was at one time Assistant Chief. Danny enjoyed NASCAR, hunting, and wood working, especially making furniture. He was a member of Williamsburg Baptist Church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Regina Brown, of Kingstree, are: daughters, Danielle (Clint) Miles, of Kingstree and Jennifer (Gregg) Parrott, of Cades; grandchildren, Ethan and Ashton Miles, of Kingstree, Benji (Katie) Parrott, of Florence, and Timothy Parrott, of Sumter; a great granddaughter, Lydia Parrott, of Florence; a brother, Ronnie Brown, of Kingstree; and a sister, Lorraine (Dean) Carson, of Lexington, SC. In addition to his parents, Mr. Brown was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny Brown, a sister, Hazel Brown, and his first wife Ellen Hinnant McKenzie Brown.

As long as I have known Danny he was always a good person in mind and heart , an enjoyable person to be around, prayers and sympathy go out to all of Danny’s family , he is no longer in pain and in a better place. But will be sadly missed.
My husband and I send our condolences to the family. I worked at the County Court House for 16 years and got to know Danny while I worked in the County Supervisor’s Office. Danny always was so nice and very professional acting. My husband said he thought a lot of Danny and said he always treated him good. So sorry for the family’s loss. Praying for the family.

A friend from my past years at Santee Electric. He was a joy to talk to and would do just that no matter where you saw him. I know the family will miss him.
