Memorial services will be held at 2PM Thursday, January 31, 2019 in Williamsburg Funeral home Chapel.
Visitation
The family will receive friends 1 hour prior the service at Williamsburg Funeral Home.
Mrs. Denise Dow Burroughs, 45, wife of James Scottie Burroughs, died Sunday, January 27, 2019 at her residence.
Mrs. Burroughs was born December 3, 1973, in Caribou, Maine, a daughter of Norman Jeffrey Dow and the late Jennifer McPherson McCrea. She was a cashier at Casselshack Seafood Resturant. Mrs. Burroughs was a member of Union Presbyterian Church.
Surviving Mrs. Burroughs, in addition to her father Norman Jeffery Dow and her husband Scottie Burroughs, are her daughters, Emalee Tisdale and Carrie Tisdale; grandchildren, Joshua Wrenn Filyaw, Marshall Filyaw, Braylee Filyaw, and Madison Ward; sisters, Julie Wolff, Phoebe Desjarden, and Laura Oswalt; stepchildren, Trish Burroughs and Scott Burroughs; step grandchildren, Haylee Soloman, Logan Soloman, and Mallory Burroughs; and many aunts, uncles and cousins in Florida and Maine.
Mrs. Burroughs was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Josephine Dow and Winnifred McPherson; and her grandfathers, Norman Dow and Eldon McPherson.
