A funeral service to celebrate Dianne’s life will be held at 3 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Williamsburg Funeral Home in Kingstree.
Visitation
Mrs. Reaves’ family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Opal Dianne Burgess Reaves, 75, wife of Joe Reaves, died Sunday, February 13, 2023, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC.
Mrs. Reaves was born April 2, 1947, in Williamsburg County, SC, a daughter of the late Lamar William Burgess Jr. and Odessa Martin Burgess. She was a graduate of Kingstree High School and had worked for Williamsburg Packing Co. and Dargan Construction Company. Dianne was a member of Kingstree Second Baptist Church. She enjoyed baking and gardening.
Surviving Mrs. Reaves, in addition to her husband Joe, are: her siblings, Dicky (Olivia) Burgess of Midlothian, VA, Janice Hardy of Kingstree, SC, William Lamar “Bill” Burgess, III of Kingstree, and Gail (Leon) McKnight of Florence, SC; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. In addition to her parents, Dianne was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Miriam R. Burgess. Dianne’s family wishes to thank McLeod Regional Medical Center and especially Dr. Hazelwood for the loving care given to Dianne during her stay there.
