Dorothy Nexsen Quattlebaum, 94, widow of Conrad I. Quattlebaum, died Friday, June 11th, 2021, at Lexington Extended Care in West Columbia, SC, after a long illness.
Mrs. Dorothy was born January 18th, 1927, in Williamsburg County, SC. a daughter of the late James Alton Nexsen and Frances Burrows Nexsen. Mrs. Dorothy graduated from Kingstree High School, worked as a telephone operator, and retired from JC Penney as a salesperson. Mrs. Dorothy was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Rock Hill, SC. Mrs. Dorothy enjoyed cooking and gardening flowers.
Surviving Mrs. Quattlebaum are: her son, Milton P. Quattlebaum (Robin) of Irmo; two grandsons, Tyler Quattlebaum, and David Alton Quattlebaum; a granddaughter, Holley Quattlebaum; two brothers, David A. Nexsen, and Thomas R. Nexsen; one sister, Jimmie Alice Miller (Jimmy); and five nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Quattlebaum was preceded in death by her son Alton I. Quattlebaum, five sisters and three brothers.

Sorry to see that Dot had passed away. She was such a good friend to my mother Lynda and a great lady. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. So sorry for your loss.
