Miss Edna was very special to me! Covid kept us apart, but I truly loved her. We had some special times together that I will always cherish!
We are so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Edna was such a sweet and caring individual. She will be missed. Y’all are in our prayers.
Dear family I am covering you in prayer. May you feel the Presence of our Savior in the days to come as He embraces you and grants comfort and peace. Your precious Mama has seen Jesus face to face and has been restored. Oh what rejoicing as she entered the gates of heaven!
Edna was and always will be a very special cousin to all of her Aunt Ellen Britton Rhodes’ children and grandchildren. She and her beloved George were always with our Rhodes Family in good times and sad. I loved sitting and listening to Edna talk about loving to go to Estill and visiting her Aunt Ellen and Uncle Julian , my grandparents, and all her Rhodes cousins. She never lost interest in keeping up with her relatives and told many years ago at my mother, Mamie ‘s last brother’s funeral., that she wanted me to promise to keep her up on the Rhodes and she would always keep me posted on the Brittons! May we all be more like her, kind, positive, and a devoted to her family. Edna, we love you and thank you for all the wonderful times celebrating our family!
Rest In Peace Gran Gran ! You will surely be missed!
Chuck and I extend our sincere sympathy to Mrs. Edna’s family. She was always so very kind and made us feel like we were part of her family. We’ll surely miss this beautiful Christian lady.
I am remembering Mrs. David with great fondness. She was a kind, sweet, pretty lady.

To Edna’s family and Edna,
Just love that sassy red hat on
that prissy lady. She was always
chipper.
Edna and George and Junior and
I had many yearly trips to the
mountains and what wonderful
memories of the good times together. Edna knew those
mountain roads so well she
didn’t need a map. She did all
of the driving.
What a southern bell with her
gentle, kind, and loving ways.
She was an influence on all of us
who knew her.
She had a wealth in her family
who lovingly cared for her.
My condolences to the family . I always loved Miss Edna. She was always so sweet, kind , and full of energy. She was as beautiful inside as she was on the outside. Please know I am thinking about you all , and I am so so so sorry for your loss.

So sorry to hear this. When I was married to Geoff Lifrage and lived in Salters, one of Edna’s daughters babysat for my oldest daughter, Laurel.
Remember the day I met this sweet lady. She had such a pleasant spirit. She was a sweet lady and the love of Christ shined through her.
Sorry for the family’s loss. As always remember the great memories and tell the stories .
Mrs. David always made you feel special. Bright smiles and just the right words. Her brightness will be missed by all.
Our prayers are with all of the Family. We are so sorry for your loss.
Edna was a was a wonderful friend to all.
Unfortunately, I just read about Edna’s death. I first met her as a pre-teen when my sister and I met her through our Aunt Louise Burrows at Union Church. We attended many weeks of Bible School at Union and met so many wonderful people who became friends through our many family visits with our Burrows family and cousins. Edna and George always remembered us and always made us feel welcome. Our friendship continued throughout the years. A very special person she was.

I’ve known the Brittons for as long as I can remember. My mother is Pat Montgomery Boney; her parents, Andy and Geneva Montgomery were close friends to Edna’s family. I’ve heard many stories about her family growing up.
Edna and her sisters were so kind to our family, arranging meals and accommodations when my grandmother died.
She was truly a special lady and we are blessed to have known her. Our thoughts are with the girls and their families.
