What a great Christian, person, husband, father and friend! Edward was a awesome leader for many in Williamsburg County and Kingstree. My deepest sympathy to each of you: Alice, Alicia and Kelley.
I enjoyed Edward coming to mama daddy’s house to date my sister, Alice. He had a 1956 or 57 Chevy convertible. I was a young child and was so intrigued and excited when he let me pretend I was driving that “sporty” car. I also remember vividly, as the years went by, all the Thanksgiving meals with mama and daddy . Edward always enjoyed the meal and went back for seconds. He had a great big smile. Through the years we enjoyed many Thanksgivings, Christmases and vacations at the beach.
Edward loved watching his daughters, Alicia and Kelley, open gifts and enjoy Christmas day. He adored his girls and was so proud of them. He will truly be missed. My prayers and love are with Alice, Alicia, and Kelley.
Sending love and prayers for strength to you.So many wonderful memories.
Edward was a true statesman and a gentleman through the 65 plus years that I knew him. Edward had wonderful and loving parents who set an exemplary example for him to follow and he did.
May God’s comfort, peace, and presence be felt by his family in the days ahead.

I have such fond memories of Edward from our high school days. I also remember that he & Alice would stop by my Mother’s and visit with her in her declining years. I always appreciated their kindness.
