Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday, December 30, 2022, at Kingstree United Methodist Church with burial in Kingstree Memorial Gardens.
Visitation
Lisa’s family will greet friends in the Ladies Parlor at Kingstree United Methodist Church at 1 PM until time for the service.

Elisa Evans “Lisa” Coker, 65, wife of the late Alvin Wilson Coker, died Monday, December 26, 2022, at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.
Mrs. Coker was born August 5, 1957, in Florence, SC, a daughter of the late Coley Wade ”C.W.” Evans, Jr. and Doris Arnette Evans. She was a graduate of Hudgens Academy and attended Coker College and Francis Marion College. Lisa recently retired from the US Postal Service after more than 20 years of service. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards with friends, crocheting, and especially spending time with Shay and her other grandchildren. Lisa was a member of Kingstree United Methodist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Coker are: her daughter, Amy (Justin) Hill of Salters, SC; sister, Elaine E. (Jimmy) McElveen of Sardis; sister-in-law, Becky (John) Plowden of Kingstree, SC; mother-in-law, Marian Wilson Coker; daughter-in-law, Audra Truluck Coker of Kingstree, SC; four grandchildren, Shay, Greyson, Anthony and Eden; and nephews, Jamey and Matt McElveen and Coker and Sam Plowden. In addition to her husband and parents, Lisa was preceded in death by her son, Alvin Wilson “Wil” Coker, Jr.

Lisa’s smile brought joy to all! She was our mail carrier through the Greeleyville Post Office. She went the extra mile many times for us. Your family is being supported by our love and prayers.

Amy, I am praying for you and your family. Your mom was a very sweet lady, and it was a joy to get to know her when I taught you and Wil. May God grant you comfort and peace now and in the days ahead.

We are so sorry to learn of your loss. Lisa was our mail carrier. She often went above her postal duties to help those on her route. We would often go out to talk with her as she put our mail in the box. She was friendly with everyone and always had a ready smile. We will miss Lisa. Our prayers are with you.
