Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 29, 2015, in Williamsburg Funeral Home Chapel, with a burial in Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Elizabeth Vermelle Stuckey Tyler, 98, widow of Fred Lavant Tyler, Sr., passed away Wednesday August 26, 2015, in Kingstree Nursing Facility.
Mrs. Tyler was born September 10, 1916, in Nesmith, SC, a daughter of the late Benjamin Stuckey and Elizabeth S. Stuckey. She was a graduate of Indiantown High School and was an Avon representative and previously worked at Jerry’s Big Dollar and Jack’s Variety Store both in Kingstree. Elizabeth was a member of Central Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents and her husband Fred, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Benjie Stuckey and Richard Stuckey; sisters, Margaret Brunson, Hattie Shirer and Annie Stuckey; and a granddaughter, Cindy Powell.
Surviving are: her son, Fred (Sara) Tyler, Jr., of Kingstree; her daughter, Rebecca T. Smith, of Kingstree; 7 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 14 great great grandchildren.
