Emmett Boyd McCrea, 66, died April 27, 2021, at his residence in Kingstree.
Mr. McCrea was born on February 20, 1955, in Kingstree, a son of Betty Boyd McCrea and the late Martin McCrea. He was a graduate of Williamsburg Academy and graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor’s degree in Forestry. Emmett was an avid fisherman and was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving Emmett are his mother Betty Boyd McCrea, of Kingstree; a brother, Hugh (Linda) McCrea, of Kingstree; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother Bill McCrea.

So saddened to hear of Emmett’s untimely death. He was my next door neighbor growing up and good friend. He will be sorely missed. Prayers for Ms. Betty, Hugh, and all other family and friends.
My prayers to Mrs. Betty. Emmett was such a happy and friendly guy. I certainly enjoyed our times at Clemson together.
Our brother will be greatly missed. Our hearts are heavy at this time. Prayers for the family.
