A graveside service for Eulila will be held 2 PM, Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
Visitation

Eulila Matthews Brockington, 84, wife of the late Edwin C. Brockington, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 18, 2025, at her home.
Eulila was born April 28, 1941, in Andrews, SC, a daughter of the late Harley Palmer Matthews and Mamie Hudson Matthews. Mrs. Brockington was a superb seamstress and manager of local stores. She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, where she served on various committees including Vacation Bible School and the Kitchen Committee. In recent years she attended Broad Swamp Pentecostal Holiness Church. Eulila enjoyed all types of needlework, especially crocheting, embroidery, and quilting. She also looked forward to cooking for her family.
Eulila is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Dorrell (Rusty) of Kingstree and Melinda Goings (Brian) of Blythewood, SC; grandchildren, Dustin Dorrell, Wesley Dorrell (Katie), Jordan Goings, and Dani Goings; and her sister, Linnie Tisdale.
In addition to her parents and husband Edwin, Eulila was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.

Brenda i am so sorry to hear about your mom. I just saw Rusty at Browns the night before last and he told me she wasnt doing good and that she was staying in her trailer and had hospice with her. I know you will miss her but you know she is in a beautiful place now and in no more pain. I will keep your family in my prayers.
