Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday, January 5, 2019, in Greeleyville United Methodist Church, with a burial in New Market Cemetery. .
Visitation
The family will receive friends before the service from 12 to 1:30 in the church fellowship hall.

Eunice Temple Ford Gamble, 89, widow of Julius Pendergrass “J.P.” Gamble, Sr., died Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at Lakes of Litchfield in Pawley’s Island.
Mrs. Eunice was born March 27, 1929, in Charlotte, NC, a daughter of the late Rufus Ford and Mildred Jeffers Ford. She was a graduate of Ashley Hall, alumni of Limestone College and graduated with a BA in Education from The University of South Carolina, where she was a member of Alpha Delta PI Sorority. Mrs. Eunice taught in Williamsburg and Berkeley County Schools and retired after 30+ years. She was the past President of Green Thumb Garden Club of Kingstree and a member of Garden Club of South Carolina and National Garden Clubs, a member of The Landscape Design Consultants Council of SC, Daughters of American Revolution and Colonial Dames of the XVII Century. Mrs. Eunice was also a member of Greeleyville United Methodist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Gamble are: her children, Julius P. “Jay” Gamble, Jr., of Sunapee, NH, Catherine Gamble, of Pawley’s Island, and Larry (Edith) Gamble, of Milwaukee, WI; daughter-in-law, Cindy Gamble, of Greensboro, NC; 8 grandchildren; and sisters, Ann F. Dutton, of Richmond, VA; and Chris F. Gaines, of Greensboro, NC.
In addition to her parents and her husband “J.P.” Mrs. Eunice was preceded in death by a son, David Ford Gamble, of Greensboro, NC; daughter-in-law, Jane Gamble, of Sunapee, NH; a brother, Thomas J. Ford; and a sister, Harriett F. Maxwell.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday, January 5, 2019, in Greeleyville United Methodist Church, with a burial in New Market Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wayne Gamble, John R. Gamble, Alton McCollough, Philip Murray, John Ridgel Gamble, Jr, and Hale McCollough.
