Mrs. Gaskins’ family will receive friends 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Evelyn Dennis Gaskins, wife of William A. “Buddy” Gaskins, died Sunday, June 10, 2018, in Carolinas Hospital in Florence, SC.
Mrs. Gaskins was born March 31, 1938, in Kingstree, SC, a daughter of the late French Dennis and Hattie Thames Dennis. She was a graduate of Kingstree High School and was the bookkeeper for Jarrett’s Specialty Company for 23 years. Mrs. Gaskins was an accomplished poet with 4 books of poetry published. She was a member of Old Fort Baptist Church in Summerville, SC.
Surviving Mrs. Gaskins, in addition to her husband Buddy, of Coward, are: her grandchildren, Joseph Patterson and Steven Horne; and her great grandchildren, Christopher and Jennifer Patterson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gaskins was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Weatherford, brothers, Ted and Jack Dennis, and sisters, Annie Mae McCants and Addie Bell Thigpen.

Aunt Evelyn, you are now with your mama, papa, brothers and sisters. We will miss you.
My thoughts and prayer’s go out to mr buddy, my nephew joe, steven, jenn and chris, i pray for healing and understanding during these trying time’s.
