Halford Aytch Carter, husband of Lula Jane Carter, passed away Monday, June 17, 2019. Mr. Carter was a son of the late Herbert Aytch and Hattie Sue Carter.

     Surviving, in addition to his wife of 63 years, Lula Jane, are: his sons, Wendell (Allison) Carter and Hal Carter; 5 grandchildren, Warner, Creighton, Christian, Cameron and Brooke; 2 great grandchildren, Brendon Carter and Ryan Carter; and 2 sisters, Lucy Huntz and Betty Phillips. In addition to his parents, Hal was preceded in death by his son, Al Carter; brothers, Herbert Carter, Jr., George Carter, William Carter, and Douglas Carter; and a sister, Mary Ruhlin.

    Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday, June 23, 2019, in Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church, 84 Mt. Vernon Road, Greeleyville, SC. The family will receive friends after the service in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Mt.
