Harold Monroe James, Sr., 87, widower of Vernell Burrows James, passed away Friday, August 28, 2020, at the Heritage Home in Florence.
Mr. James was born September 10, 1932, in Andrews, SC, a son of the late Emerson M. James and Loraine Wrenn James. He was a former employee of Milliken Textile and retired from Colonial Rubber Works in Kingstree. Mr. Harold was a member of Kingstree Second Baptist Church and served as a deacon.
Surviving Mr. James are: his sons, Monty (Chris) James Jr.and Robert (Bonnie) James, both of Florence; and Steve (Tammy) James, of Greeleyville; 9 grandchildren, Zack, Ben, Cody, Josh, Kayla, Michael, Christopher, Dylan and Amy; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Bobby James, of Georgetown; and sisters, Ruby Tyler, of Kingstree; and Levern Stone, of Moncks Corner.
