Jerry Clifton Brown, Sr., 68, husband of Jean Easler Brown, died Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at his home in Kingstree.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, October 4, 2022, in Kingstree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Brown was born March 27, 1954, in Chatom, AL, son of the late Howard Clifton Brown and Voncile Thorton Brown. Jerry was a graduate of Williamsburg Academy and worked with his dad at Lane Pole Company until it closed. He retired from H & S Oil Company. Jerry was a member of the Sportsman’s Hunting Club and the Red Dog Supper Club. He was a Shriner and attended Kingstree First Baptist Church.
Surviving Mr. Brown , in addition to his wife Jean, are: a son, Jay Brown and a daughter; Tiffaney Brown, both of Florence; grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Brown, Alice-Ann Lea Brown, David Clifton Brown, and Avery Jean Brown; special grandchildren, Jay, Corinne and Joan Kellahan andTiller Kennedy; special nephew, Chris (Louisa) Kennedy of Kingstree; special cousin, Peggy Lewis of Alabama; a special friend, David (Marti) Walker of Columbia; and a sister, Sandra (Auddie) Brown of Kingstree

Jean, I’m sorry I can’t be there with you, but my heart and prayers go out to you and the children. Jerry had a laugh that would light up the whole room. Once you heard it you would never forget it. My prayers of comfort and peace be with you. Jerry was a kind and a thoughtful person to all. We grew up together around the Lane Pole Co. My dad worked for Mr. Brown.
