Funeral services will be 2 PM, Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Williamsburg Funeral Home with burial in Kingstree Memorial Gardens.

John Corris Baxley, 89, husband of Charlotte Coker McGee Baxley, died Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Williamsburg Regional Hospital in Kingstree.
Mr. Baxley was born July 29, 1933, in Hemingway, SC, a son of the late Azalee Ray Baxley and George Washington Baxley. He was a graduate of Hemingway schools and was a self-employed merchant. He attended Sandy Bay Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving Mr. Baxley, in addition to his wife Charlotte, are: a brother, D.D. (Frances) Baxley of Canton, NC; 2 sisters, Carol Poston of Hemingway and Yvonne (Randy) Loveless of Lake City; a stepson, Rannie McGee of Kingstree; 3 stepdaughters, Polly (William) Roberts of Andrews, SC, Pansy Gause of Charleston, and Debra (Tom) Britton of Hopkinsville, KY; 3 step-grandchildren, William Craig, Nikki Feathers, and Kristen Gause. In addition to his parents, Mr. Baxley was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Harrelson Baxley, brothers, Raymond Baxley and George Baxley, and a sister, Geneva Yarbrough.

I am saddened by the loss of Uncle John. Aunt Charlotte, Polly and the rest of the family you will always remain in my prayers but remember how much he loved you all. RIP.
