John Wesley Disher, Jr., 44, husband of Theresa Hilton Disher, died suddenly Sunday, May 21, 2023, at his home in Kingstree.
John was born March 22, 1979, in Kingstree, SC, a son of Irene Kinard Disher and the late John Wesley “Buzzy” Disher, Sr. He was a graduate of Kingstree Senior High School and attended the College of Charleston. John was a realist artist and enjoyed woodcarving, fishing, cooking, video gaming, and spending time at the beach. In addition to being a devoted father, John was an avid Gamecock fan.
Surviving John, in addition to his wife, Theresa Disher and his mother, Irene Disher of Kingstree, are: his brother, Mark (Marie) Disher; his daughters, Leia Disher and Brittney (Joel) Coker; his sons, John Mark Disher, Nikkolas Dodge, Tyler (Becky) Powell, and David Gauthier, Jr.

Im so sorry to hear about John’s passing. One of the best artists in the class from elementary to high school. My prayers are with his family and friends in this difficult time.
