Funeral Services
Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, June 19, 2019, in Cedar Grove Baptist Church, with a burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation
Mr. Tisdale’s family will receive friends 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

John Willis Tisdale, Sr., 78, husband of Linnie Matthews Tisdale, died Sunday, June 16, 2019, in MUSC Florence Medical Center.
Mr. Tisdale was born June 13, 1941, in Williamsburg County, a son of the late John Clyde and Margaret McKnight Tisdale. He attended Cedar Swamp School and retired from Pepsi Cola, where he drove the delivery truck for 20 years and was the warehouse manager for 10 years. Mr. Tisdale was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Willis was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church and a member of the choir.
Surviving Mr. Tisdale, in addition to his wife Linnie, of Kingstree, are: his daughters, Mary Lynn (Herman) Hagwood, Dianne Williamson, Debbie (Darrin) Kirby, and Vicky (Chris) Bryant, all of Kingstree; a son, John Willis (Bridgett) Tisdale, Jr., of Kingstree; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and a sister, Lorene Gause. In addition to his parents, Mr. Tisdale was preceded in death by his brothers, Furman Tisdale and Winston Tisdale.

I am so sorry for the family loss! He was a very good man that will be missed. Uncle Willis raised great kids and treated everyone with Respect. He will always be in his family’s heart!

Heaven is filling up with good husbands and fathers. Willis and Jerry had many laughs while at pepsi. Now they can tell stories again your family is in my prayers

We were so sorry to hear of Willis’ death. Linnie we will keep you in our prayers at this very sad time. We are out of town in Florida or we would have been at the service. We loved Willis and will certainly miss him.
