John Barnett “Bunny” Floyd, 80, husband of Willie Mae Mouzon Floyd, died Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at his home in Kingstree.
Mr. Floyd was born October 23, 1943, in Clarendon County, a son of the late Mack Zander Floyd and Mary Virgin Parker Floyd. He was retired from Santee Print in Sumter.
Surviving Mr. Floyd, in addition to Willie Mae, his wife of 60 years, are: two daughters, Sally Avant (Joe) of Chesapeake, VA and Jessica Snipes (Jim) of Kingstree; two grandchildren, David Avant (Alejandra) of Port Hueneme, CA and Nicole Guthrie (Sam) of Virginia Beach, VA; two great grandchildren, Summer Rose Avant and Caleb Poston; a sister, Louise Evans of Sumter; two brothers, Jack (Shirley) Floyd and Elgin Floyd, both of Sumter; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Della Lee Garner, a brother, Bobby Clarence Floyd, and a grandson, John Caleb Floyd
