Marion Elwood Cannon, 83, widower of Jettie McClam Cannon, died Thursday, March 14, 2019, at his residence.
Mr. Elwood was born April 1, 1935, in Kingstree, a son of the late Jim Allen and Margaret Tisdale Cannon. He attended Williamsburg County Schools. Mr. Elwood was a veteran of the Army National Guard, a typesetter at the County Record Newspaper, an employee of Williamsburg Technical College, and later retired from the United States Postal Service in Kingstree. He was a Mason, a Shriner, and a member of Cades Baptist Church.
Surviving Mr. Elwood is: his step-son, Mike (Kathy) McKenzie, of Kingstree.

Hope you will be comforted in knowing that Elwood has the prospect of being resurrected, healthy (in the flesh), to Paradise Earth just as Jehovah God has promised. So sorry for your loss. Marion was a wonderful neighbor in Lanes and a dedicated soldier while serving in the Army National Guard (1052nd Transportion Company). He will be missed.
