Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Friday, February 21, 2020, in the chapel at Williamsburg Funeral Home, with a burial in Tisdale Cemetery.
Visitation
Monkey’s family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Thursday, February 20, 2020, at Williamsburg Funeral Home.

Melvin Wayne “Monkey” Tisdale, 63, husband of Katherene “Kat” Warren Tisdale, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, February 18, 2020, surrounded by family at home in Kingstree.
Monkey was born December 26, 1956, in Williamsburg County, a son of the late Elton and Anna Belle Locklear Tisdale. He was a graduate of Kingstree Senior High School and attended Williamsburg Technical College. Monkey worked at Colonial Rubber and Firestone and was a farmer. He was an avid hunter, outdoorsman and a NASCAR enthusiast.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Kat, are: a son, Ryan (Ashton) Tisdale; a daughter, Meagan (Pressley) Best, both of Columbia; his beloved dog Blanche; and his brother, Neil Tisdale, of Kingstree.
