Mrs. Naomi Eason Bell, 84, widow of James J. Bell, Sr., died Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at her home in Florence.
Mrs. Bell was born April 22, 1936, in North Carolina, a daughter of the late John Fred Eason, Sr. and Avie Frances Taylor Eason. She was a high school graduate and was the administrative assistant to Williamsburg County Supervisor Hugh McCutchen for many years. When she left the supervisor’s office, she joined her family in their all female business, Bell, Ganes and Taylor Construction Co.. Mrs. Bell enjoyed traveling, especially to the mountains and spending time with her family.
Surviving Mrs. Bell are: one son, James J. “Jimmy” Bell, Jr. of Florence; 3 daughters, Frances Ganes of Lake City, Madelene Taylor of Jacksonville, FL, and Patricia (Darren) Brown of Butte, Montana; a grandson who she raised as her own son, Franklyn Runge of Florence; 11 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Dorothy Blackburn and Rebecca Haynes; and 2 brothers, Fred Eason and J.D. Eason.

To the Eason Bell family thoughts and prayers are with all family at this time she was the leader of the family and always took care of everybody. She has a lot of family to great her where she is going and they will all be celebrating Johnny’s Birthday come Saturday

She has been a strong lady in the lives of many for many years

Mrs.Bell was a loving person I thought a lot of her she will be miss.I love you all if there is anything I can do please call me.
I’ll never forgot all of the great times I had with Aunt Naomi at reunions and family get togethers spanning well-over 60 years. She always made me feel special. Aunt Naomi was a great lady who will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her, but I’m sure that she’s happy to be reunited with Uncle Jim. My deepest condolences go out to Fran, Madelene, Jimmy Jr, PJ, Frankie and their families. You are all in my prayers.

Aunt Naomi was a rock to many of her family. She will be missed, She was the last of the Eason siblings with us. My thoughts and prayers go out to Fran, Madelene, Jimmy Jr and the rest of the children.
